Just the other day, a guy asked me “How come you don’t put make-up? Don’t you wanna look pretty?” At that time, it seems pretty normal question to me.
But as I was driving home, I thought to myself. “Does it really matter? Why on earth do we put make-up for?” Have you ever wondered?
Maybe it’s because:
1. We girls use make-up to beautify ourselves?
2. We girls want to look more attractive to guys?
3. We want to build our confidence?
4. To hide our flaws?
5. Make-up gives us more self-worth?
You know, I think it’s such a shame for girls to need make-up to validate them selves. Make-up does not increase ones self-worth nor does increase ones attractiveness. I am talking about attractiveness, not prettiness. No, I’m not saying it’s wrong. I’m just saying that sometimes we put make-up on for the wrong reason. If you are putting on make-up for your own self, because you like it, then it’s fine. But if you are doing it to make yourself more attractive to others, then you got to think twice about it.
I truly believe that beauty shines from within. Make-up does not beautify you. It just enhances the beauty that you already have. If a guy likes you, they should like you for who you are inside. Not just cause you look pretty with all the make-up on the outside. And if a guy wants you to put make-up for him all the time, then something must be wrong.
Personally, I’m a strong believer of natural beauty. I prefer not to have any make-up on, maybe cos I’m lazy *grins*. But that does not mean I don’t put make-up at all. Sometimes, when the occasion calls for it, or when I feel like it, the make-up goes on. And I use it because it makes me feel good and it gives me more confidence.
So to all the girls out there with the heavy make-up and stuff, remember that “True beauty comes from within”.

Let’s say you have a dream. And suddenly an opportunity arises that gives you the once in a lifetime chance to pursue it. But then, this would mean leaving behind your love ones or family. Will you go for it?
Some might say it would be stupid to give up your dream. A few years down the road, you’ll be old and time will run out. You will regret it and blame others for pulling you back.
Some might say, love ones first. They are the most important aspect of life. What is left behind will forever be gone.
What do you say?
Well, there is no right or wrong answer for it. If you would have asked me a few years ago, I would have said “Go for your dream! After all, you’ll only live once.” But I guess, it’s easier said then done. Would you be willing to give up everything just to go for your dream?? Or live a life or regrets that you’ll never achieve your dream?? Would you stop someone for achieving their dreams?? Or let them chase their dreams without you??

I really like the movie “UP”. It tells on how a young girl, who dreamt of something but never achieved it. Instead, she recreated her dream; with her love one. And she died a happy person.
Can dreams change? Can dreams be shared?
What would you have done?

The Road Not Taken
by Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Have you ever come to a point in your life when you really know what you want? And you know it’s the best choice that you have made. And you feel the peace within you. But somewhere along the way a little tiny voice make you want rethink, or make you a little unsure of yourselves?

I guess all of us have that little tiny voice that always seem to appear at just the wrong time.
Take this friend of mine. She met this guy, had a few dates with him. He seems such a decent guy. A little bad boy, but just enough to make him interesting. He is not what she expected. She had fun and she wanted to see him more. But then,… a little tiny voice comes in.. And she starts thinking, “Am I making a Big mistake? Maybe I can get someone a little better? Maybe I can get someone a little richer? Maybe I have not consider all the options I have? Maybe, just maybe?”
So many maybes.. But I guess will never know if we don’t try. To just take risk when all odds are against it.. To just have the determination to defy all circumstances and at the end, come out victorious…
That’s what courage is about…
